Wirtgen Hamburg at the Nordbau 2011 fair

Showcasing ten exhibits, the Wirtgen Group sales and service company Wirtgen Hamburg is presenting an impressive selection of products for road construction, mineral processing and recycling. The highlight on the 750-m² exhibition area is an innovative MR 110 Z EVO impact crusher from Kleemann (exhibition area: F-Nord-245, Kieler Strasse).

Wirtgen's small milling machine generation

The W 35 DC, the W 50 and the W 100 F are giving visitors a chance to experience tried and tested professional products from the market leader. The W 35 DC and W 50 DC small milling machines are impressive units, boasting such intelligent technical features as the supporting wheel of the W 50 DC, which can be swivelled at the press of a button, or the short loading conveyor of the W 35 DC – which permits RAP to be directly loaded into the bucket of a wheel loader without manual work. A higher capacity, a top ergonomic design for the operator and intelligent fully automated functions – these are the outstanding features of the innovative W 100 F. Wirtgen is focussing here on the further development of milling technology in the class of front-loading machines with a standard working width of 1 to 1.30 m.

The W 100 F has a maximum milling width of 1 m and mills up to 32 cm deep. The innovative milling machine is optionally available with wheels or crawlers.

Technologies that lead the market: Road pavers from Vögele

This year, the market leader Vögele is spotlighting the popular Super 800 small paver and the Super 1800-2 tracked paver. The main areas of application for the flexible Super 800 are halls, farm roads and cycle paths or small urban roads. Its track width of just 1.1 m plus its minimum clearance width of just 1.2 m permit fast and cost-effective asphalt paving, even in cramped conditions. One of the most compact and powerful wheeled pavers in its class, the Super 1800-2 masters an impressively varied range of applications. With a maximum pave width of 10 m and a machine length of just 6 m, the paver can tackle motorways and tight roundabouts with equal finesse. An optimally adapted diesel engine rated at 129.6 kW makes for a powerful drive.

The Quito Airport project is currently the largest construction project in Ecuador. And the surface accuracy required for the construction of the runways was correspondingly demanding. This job was carried out with phenomenal precision by a SUPER 1800-2 with the AB 500-2 TV paving screed.

CompactLine from Hamm now with even greater driving comfort

Displaying the HD 8 VV and HD 14 VV, Hamm is presenting two tandem rollers from the CompactLine, each offering an optimum view due to their slim-line front ends, low machine height and excellent handling. Moreover, the product line's inner workings have been enhanced: the machines are now driven by exceptionally quiet yet powerful Kubota engines. A vibration-insulated operator's platform enhances comfort and reduces vibrations on the operator's platform. The 7.8-t DV 65 is also being showcased. This roller in the DV series guarantees an optimum view of the drums thanks to its spacious panoramic cabin with the allround-view concept. What's more, it is equipped with the "Hammtronic" electronic machine management system as standard. The DV 65 is available as a vibratory, oscillating or combi drum. Another exhibit on view is the 3412 HT compactor. This vibratory compactor with Hammtronic combines modern technology with an appealing design and outstanding performance.

An exceptionally ergonomic operator's platform, a low machine height and a 3-point swivel joint for the ultimate in driving comfort – these are just three of the striking features of Hamm's CompactLine.

Mobile crushing and screening technology from Kleemann

Kleemann is playing to its greatest strengths with the MR 110 Z EVO impact crusher and the MS 19 D screening plant. The new impact crusher in the EVO series combines a top performance with the ultimate in economic efficiency. The innovative material flow concept consistently prevents restrictions to the flow of material, with the system widths of the conveyor elements "opening" in the direction of the material flow. Thanks to a crusher intake opening of 1,100 mm, the MR 110 Z EVO can achieve feed capacities of over 350 t/h. The efficient direct drive ensures particularly cost-effective operation. This drive concept makes for great versatility, as the rotor can be adjusted to four different speeds. As a result, the plant is equally suitable for mining natural rock or for recycling – as with the MS 19 D, the exceptionally robust mobile triple-deck screening unit with a capacity of up to 500 t/h can process material with a feed length of up to 150 mm.
