  • Leadership since 1958

    The company’s foundation and its development in the last 50 years match with the history of the development and modernization process in Brazil and Latin America.

    On May 29th, in Caxias do Sul, a small town in Rio Grande do Sul an Italian who was naturalized Brazilian, Clemente Cifali, founds the first Brazilian company to manufacture asphalt plants, with the only purpose of attending his own needs as subcontractor. That is a period marked by a great development of the infrastructure not only in Brazil, but also in Latin America. This way, the company CLEMENTE CIFALI & FILHO is born, nowadays known as Ciber Equipamentos Rodoviários worldwide.

    Markets in expansion

    Ciber starts selling to the Latin American Market

  • 1974

    Development in technology

    The company gets associated with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries from Japan, develops and improves its technology, increasing its performance and leadership in Latin America.

  • 1984

    National capital

    The company has 100% of national capital and the supervision is made by a group of Brazilian and Japanese investors. At this time, Ciber factory is enlarged and the administrative area is built.

  • 1987

    Joint-Venture with Wirtgen GmbH

    Ciber makes a joint–venture with Wirtgen GmbH that transfers the most modern technology to the Brazilian subsidiary. After this agreement, the cold milling machines starts being manufactured in Brazil.

  • 1988

    Companhia Industrial Brasileira de Equipamentos Rodoviários

    The company changes its name to CIBER – Companhia Industrial Brasileira de Equipamentos Rodoviários.

  • 1996

    Wirtgen Group

    Wirtgen takes Ciber’s stock control, incorporating the company to the Wirtgen Group and selling its products to a market that is extremely globalized.

  • 1997

    Exchange of technology

    Stimulated by the German controller, Ciber makes an intense exchange of technology with the other companies of the group. At this moment, Ciber consolidates its name as a trade mark, makes great investments in order to improve the industrial process and changes its name to Ciber Equipamentos Rodoviários Ltda., as it is known nowadays.

    New line of modular plants

    Ciber crates an innovative concept of modular plants, the Counter Flow Asphalt Plants which revolutionizes the paving industry in the following years.

  • 2005

    Hamm´s Compactors started being produced in Brazil

    Ciber starts manufacturing compactors by Hamm, in Porto Alegre. Hamm, a pioneer in the manufacture of compactors, starts being known by the technological advantages when compared to its competitors in Brazil.

  • 2006

    Introduction of the Advanced Series to the market

    Ciber launches the Counter Flow Asphalt Plants - Advanced Series that show stability and reliability to the users, giving even more advantages to the family of plants made by Ciber.

  • 2007

    New markets and modernization of the factory

    Ciber develops its line of products, launching the Plus Series of pavers with high performance and starts the production under license of the cold milling machine W 1000 L. Many investments to modernize the factory are made in this period. The company intensifies its trades to Africa, reaching countries like Angola, Mozambique, Libya, Algeria, Cameroon, South Africa and the furthest regions in Latin America.

    Half century of leadership

    The company completes 50 years old and celebrates half century of leadership

  • 2009

    Ciber launches its Kompakt Asphalt Plant

    Ciber successfully presents to the market a new line of Asphalt Plants. The Kompakt Series combines advantages like reduced installation cost and construction time, which makes it ideal on sites located in inhospitable regions and where fast execution is a necessity. Because of its pioneerism, Ciber has won four design awards with the Kompakt Asphalt Plant - Innovation Awards at National Confederation of Industries, Brazil Design Awards, Idea Brazil and World Idea Awards, one of the most prestigious design awards in the United States and worldwide.

  • 2011

    Quality Certification ISO 9001 and Kleemann in Brazil

    Ciber conquers Quality Certification ISO 9001 and introduces Kleemann equipments to the Brazilian Market.
